Graduated And Clueless; or Such Is My Life
This website is AWESOME! I’ve learned many new things from reading this guy’s posts about life after college, and should like to try some of his many tips. His blog’s been up and going one year, on June 1. I’m impressed. Learn something new with me!

Oil Spill in the Gulf
To be honest, even though I know it’s a bad idea, I’ve wondered why we don’t just burn all the oil in the gulf. At least it’d get it out of the water…
¡Computadora!
Finally, I have a computer charger again! I’ve got homework to do at the moment, but expect an update tonight!

:(
My computer charger gave out this weekend, so I’m without a civilized way to update here. Stay tuned, and hopefully I’ll be able to sort it out by the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hula-hooping For Fitness and Fun
A hula-hoop made out of PVC pipe is heavier and easier to use than a traditional, buy-it-at-Walmart hula-hoop. Apparently it is easy to make your own hula-hoop. I’ll give it a shot with a friend who already has one, and I’ll probably try her method. Heavier hoops are recommended for adults, and with the added weight, you can get better results leading to better weight loss and better core strengthening. Kind of neat, eh?
Andalucia
Apparently my beloved Andalucia (the southern-most region of España) was hit by an earthquake over the weekend. I was not pleased to learn this today. :’(
The earthquake was in Granada (southeast Andalucia), but my precious Sevilla was saved. And there wasn’t even much damage in Granada, and not a single person died. It was a Spanish miracle. I was so glad to learn this last part. ¡Te extraño, España!

King of Queers
Apparently, as part of a drama class project, a college student in Texas wanted to put on an abbreviated version of a play depicting Jesus and all the disciples as being gay. The play is set in 1960s Corpus Christi (also the name of the play). I see how this could be objectionable.
However, I don’t think they should have canceled it. Even though I think the terms “separation of church and state” and “freedom of speech” are wildly abused in this country, I see no reason the town should’ve shouted, argued, and threatened it down. It was for a college class, and the school was behind the students putting it on, but apparently the town went NUTS and it got canned.
I didn’t learn this today, but I hold this truth to be self-evident: bigotry and homophobia are still alive in America today. Duh.

Brain Waves
This has earned today a second post of things I have learned. According to the EOC, whose website doesn’t actually tell what the acronym means, tells that whole-brain synchronization will basically save your life or something, and make you happier and healthier FOREVER!!! …if you pay an exorbitant sum of money to purchase their program. Nice. Take a look, but here’s the chart (“enhanced for emphasis”) they have posted. It’s neat looking, but I have my doubts.
Astronomers Without Borders
Apparently there is an organization called Astronomers Without Borders. I thought that most astronomy was conducted free of borders. Perhaps I was wrong, since this organization exists.
